ACMG Genetic Screening
American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics offers interventional cancer and cardiovascular genetic screening. Modern medicine has proven that all diseases are linked to genes. Discover, prevent, and protect!
Do you wish you had more control over your health?
Fulgent Genetics Screening
ACMG's Interventional Cancer and Cardiovascular Gene Screening is a groundbreaking screening service that provides key insights into your genetic susceptibility to cancer and cardiovascular disease.
Comprehensive Risk Assessment
This test assesses risk factors for various cancers, cardiovascular disease, and other health conditions, including but not limited to:
For a complete list of conditions and associated genes, see Ref.
Genetic Testing
Our advanced genetic screening technology provides comprehensive analysis of your DNA to identify potential health risks and enable proactive healthcare decisions.
The Relationship Between Genes and Diseases
Understanding how genetic mutations can impact your health and the health of your family.
Disease-Causing Genes
Some gene mutations can cause disease, and these are called "disease-causing genes." These are common childhood genetic diseases. Family members who inherit these genes may also develop the disease.
Risk Genes
Some gene mutations can increase the risk of disease, known as "risk genes." Commonly seen in adults, they include cardiovascular diseases, hereditary tumors, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and more.
Family members who inherit these genes are at higher risk of developing the disease, but they aren't necessarily guaranteed to develop it themselves.
The Timing and Significance of Genetic Testing
Understanding when and why genetic testing is crucial for your health journey.
Diagnosis and Treatment
After becoming ill, we conduct diagnosis of related diseases and drug gene testing to assist in the accurate diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
Prediction and Prevention
When you are healthy, prediction and prevention: Based on common diseases in the family and high-incidence diseases studied, disease risk gene testing is performed to predict personal disease risk and achieve early detection and early intervention.
Understanding Your Test Results
Our test is a risk factor assessment. While the individual tested may not currently be showing symptoms associated with the condition identified, they may be at risk for developing that condition later in life.
Positive Result
A pathogenic or likely pathogenic variant was detected in the individual's DNA. This variant is known to increase the risk of developing a genetic disease.
Negative Result
No known pathogenic or likely pathogenic variant was detected in the individual's DNA. Although the results may not show an increased risk for the condition, the risk still exists, especially if there is a family history of the condition.
Professional Interpretation Required
Our test results provide you with valuable genetic information that can be used to assess your possible risk and take appropriate preventative measures at an early stage. It is important that these results are interpreted and discussed with your healthcare professional to develop a personalized care plan and management strategy.
